Dr Frank Ryan died in a car accident yesterday afternoon after his 1995 Jeep Wrangler veered off the Pacific Coast Highway and landed on a roof. 

The 50 yr old surgeon to the stars was trapped in the vehicle suffering from major head injuries.  The Ventura County Fire Department tried hoisting Ryan out using a helicopter, but the attempt was called off and Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ryan was accompanied in the car by his collie, Jill, who was rescued and was treated for serious injuries.  Jill is alive and still in veterinary care.

Just minutes before the crash, Dr. Ryan posted to his twitter account:

 "After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu.  Much harder than it looks!  Whew!"

Dr Ryan is best known for his work on Franken-Heidi Montag... he performed the record 10 surgeries in one day on the surgically challenged fallen reality star.

Franken-Heidi posted her heartfelt thoughts on her twitter account:

"I am devastated to hear the news of Dr. Frank Ryan's death. He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my
  life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."

Trying to push tears out of her tightly stretched eyes, she continues:

"My thoughts and prayers go out to his mother, family, friends, and anyone who was ever blessed enough to meet him. He is in a better place."

Other stars that Dr Ryan worked on; Janie Dickinson, Shauna Sand, Vince Neil,  Adrianne Curry and Gene Simmons.  I wouldn't say that any of their work is that great... sorry, just being honest!
