Chelsea handler is all set to host the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.  Maybe this one will be worth watching... she is funny!

Comedian Chelsea Handler, who hosts E! network's Chelsea Lately, will host the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards airing on September 12.

For about a decade and a half, the hosting role has predominantly been by men. The last female host of the VMAs was Roseanne Barr (barf) back in 1994..LOL!

Chelsea spoke about the gig saying:

"If there's one awards show that I should be hosting, it's probably this one. My personality probably wouldn't gel with the Emmys or the Golden Globes."

Other than Chelsea's, musical draws such as Kanye West and Justin Bieber are set to perform on the night as well. YAWN

Hopefully this one turns out better than the sucky MTV Movie Awards!
