WYCLEF JEAN'S RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF HAITI HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED.
2010-08-20 09:15:09
After all the drama, Wyclef, despite his efforts, is left off the list of candidates for Haitian president. I know it is shocking... but it is a sad reality.
The Haitian musician, Wyclef Jean, who triggered a huge public outcry from his big to become president of Haiti, can officially stop making a fool of himself because his run for presidency was officially over before it even got started.
After fighting all the public criticism and being outed by just about everyone who knows him, Wyclef is not even on the list of upcoming candidates... AKA he didn't even make the cut..LOL!
Wyclef (40) had announced he would be a candidate for the role as a means of helping to heal his earthquake-ravaged country.
But he has been left off the list, according to officials, because of a challenge against him.
There has been speculation he is not officially able to run because he does not meet the legal requirements for the November 28th election. He was born in Haiti, but is a citizen of America.
No more details have been given at this time
Jean left Haiti with his family to live in New York at the age of nine.
He was among 34 contenders for the presidency who filed their documents with the Haiti election council this month.
All that work for nothing Wyclef.. well you succeeded at getting half of Hollywood to hate you in the process.
