STALLONE IS BACK ON TOP<br>
After years of dormancy, Sylvester Stallone puts together a winner!  Numbers don't lie (unless you are trying to get paid from movie royalties).  Stallone's new block buster, The Expendables, takes #1 at the box office again this weekend.

1. The Expendables, $16.5 million ($5,046 per screen)
2. Vampires Suck, $12.2 million ($3,774 per screen)
3. Eat Pray Love, $12 million ($3,082 per screen)
4. Lottery Ticket, $11.1 million ($5,639 per screen)
5. The Other Guys, $10.1 million ($2,909 per screen)
6. Piranha 3D, 10 million ($4,063 per screen)
7. Nanny McPhee Returns, $8.3 million ($2,985 per screen)
8. The Switch, $8.1 million ($4,026 per screen)
9. Inception, $7.7 million ($3,188 per screen)
10. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, $5 million ($1,785 per screen)

I love seeing that the Geritol Team can still draw them in!
Stallone (64) had an almost impossible time finding a home for this movie.. all the big studios stiff armed Sly. It wasn't until Millenium Films decided to bite the bullet and took a chance, that Sly would have another chance at box office dominance.

After all of Sly's accomplishments and money he has made for Hollywood, he still had an almost impossible time getting a studio to back the project!  Millenium Films is known as a small independent movie house and really put it all out for The Expendables.  I am glad to see it looks to be paying off for them!

Stallone has a history of writing blockbusters.. Rocky and Rambo were both written by Sly.  So, it was inevitable that his next foray into action writing would be a success as well.

Since the shelving of Sly and Arnold, action movies just haven't been the same.  I miss the days of action stars that were tough over the top characters that made you want to go see the movie.  After watching a Sly movie you always felt a lil tougher!

Sly assembled a cast that is the best of the best; Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Terrty Case and Steve Austin.  He also pitched parts to Steven Seagal and Jean Claude.. the has-beens turned down the offers!  LOL I am sure they were WAY to busy with their blooming careers!

Congrats to Sly and his cast.. it all makes for a great Cialis commercial!
